Love can be inspiring & invigorating. The Navarasas family has its roots deep set in one common emotion – our love for our pets. Nikki’s beautiful doggie Dutchess had surgery as a puppy which weakened her immune system for life. Her health issues had become more pronounced with age when she was diagnosed with arthritis & hip dysplasia. In May, 2012 she had lost mobility & use of her hind legs. However, even with her restricted movement her personality remained unchanged. Her constant demand for food, the need for unwavering attention & her people pleasing character have been her defining traits!
The vet’s recommendation was euthanasia; which was NOT an option at that time. Nikki took a few days to weigh & explore her options, & thus began her journey on the study of alternative medicine. Studies showed that the easy absorption, topical solution & aromas of essential oils proved to generate positive, healing results within seconds. Through self-study & research Nikki designed a recipe of essential oil blends to try & help Dutchess. After five days of massage, aroma & heat therapy, Dutchess began to walk again! Her story gains more momentum! After a year & a half of treatment with essential oils & Aromatherapy she doesn’t behave like a dog that is sick & in pain. Instead she is just like a nine year old puppy!
Having been a two time Cancer Survivor & sufferer for over 20 Years of Stage 4 Endometriosis & Fibromyalgia; Nikki has lived with wide spread chronic pain for many years, & is no stranger to it. In fact it would be fair to say that Pain & Nikki are very well acquainted! The pain medications, medical & alternate treatments over the years have given her only temporary & limited relief. But the use of essential oils & aromatherapy has given her the breakthrough in pain management that she had been looking for, while also improving her quality of life.
It was in December of 2012 that Navarasas was envisaged.
